To put it briefly, Kimbley and I intend to follow through on the request made of us in the dreams, in hopes of directly contacting Liewen. As much as I loathe the prospect, I feel it might be one of the best things we can do in our current position.

She hates this. The image from her dreams makes her sick to think of. It conjures images of that beach in February, another time when she was expected to cut out somebody's living heart, and she can't get out of it the same way this time.
But it's no worse than what she does to survive anyway, is it? At least this might get them answers. Then there's the other two; even if she owes them nothing for stumbling into that tunnel with her, it might be better to keep their alliance. A burden shared.]
