Spoiler Warning: This app contains major spoilers for a recently-released game, and trust me, it's better without knowing what you're in for. If you haven't finished Transistor yet, and you plan to, you probably shouldn't read further.
OOC INFORMATION

CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character Name: Red
Age: 27
Canon: Transistor
Canon Point: After placing the Transistor in the cradle, before the final battle.
Character Information: Here's the wiki link. Hopefully it's enough, since it's literally just her in-game file. :|a There's also a full (if dry) plot summary.
Personality:
Red is very much an individual. She knows who she is and no one else is going to take that or make her choices for her. For what she wants to do, she can go to great lengths: her file tells us about how she went to a school known for pumping out civic planners and instead put in the work to set up an arts program there, because she wanted to study music. That also shows a lot of passion for what she does. This contributes to her strong presence, a force of personality and seeming confidence that's remarked upon by other characters in canon (especially in Sybil's file.)
She's also remarkably determined. Remember, Red isn't a fighter by trade, she's a singer. But when shit hit the fan, she tore up her dress, picked up the very weapon that was supposed to kill her, and took off toward the danger, even though she had every chance to flee. Through a pretty much completely terrible situation she found the strength to press on through to the end. When the person she loves is in (more) trouble, she even shows a slightly vengeful side, swearing to find the thing responsible and “break its heart"--and following through spectacularly on that promise.
Even with her suicide at the end of the game (I warned you about the spoilers, bro) she took charge of her own fate. It was a deliberate choice: an eternity with the love of her life inside the Transistor, versus a lifetime of isolation in a city that would be dead even if she did rebuild it.
That's not to say despair wasn't a factor. Red is strong, but she's only human, and has a good deal of care for the people around her. She may keep moving forward, but her fear and desperation over the events are made clear in the typed responses she makes to terminals throughout the game. She occasionally musters a sense of humor—typically dry wit or coy teasing—even under the circumstances, which probably comes out more when she's not in the midst of an apocalypse.
She shows care and empathy for other people, even to the point of seeming to somewhat forgive the Camerata once she learns more about what happened. They never meant things to get so far out of hand, had their own losses and she seems to understand that, typing a final respectful farewell to Asher in contrast to the man in the sword's frustrated responses. A fight starting over one of her concerts bothered her enough to make her retreat from the spotlight for a while, claiming she never intended to stir controversy; she obviously puts a lot of herself into her music, which resonates with people.
On a related note, Red is a private and reserved individual known for keeping things to herself. Her inspiration and her reasons for doing things are apparently intensely personal, and she dodges questions about them; given her demonstrated individuality, she probably feels like she shouldn't have to explain herself, anyway. The music itself is probably a bigger motivation for her than the spotlight- or was, before she lost her voice. She seems to put thought into what she does and says; she's shown typing and then deleting things often when she “speaks" via terminal.
5-10 Key Character Traits: Determined, independent, passionate, musical, private, sensitive, protective.
Would you prefer a monster that FITS your character’s personality, CONFLICTS with it, or EITHER? Fits!
Opt-Outs: Demon, Wendigo, Werebear (wolf is fine), Minotaur
Roleplay Sample: Here's her test drive thread, and one in prose for good measure.
