APPEARANCE (LAND FORM)
SCALES
Stark white, they cover much of her arms, legs and neck.
FINS
White with black spines, on her forearms, calves and behind her ears. Her arm fins have especially long, venomous spines, extending well past the fin membrane itself. The ones on her ears and legs are shorter and non-venomous.
HORNS
Though the technical term is supraorbital tentacles (example here). They sit right at her hairline, and are white-scaled with black stripes.
OTHER FISHY BITS
Gills on her neck, thin white webs between her fingers and toes, and straight black claws which she usually files down and paints gold. Her teeth are unnaturally sharp.
SCARS AND MARKINGS
Three prominent scars on her right side: two punctures, then a slash. Picture a crooked semicolon with an extra dot. Thanks, Rotans!
A golden rune in the form of three golden triangles at the base of her throat. (Upside down, not a Triforce.)
APPEARANCE (WATER FORM)
SCALES
Now extend partway up her sides and back as well, and cover her shoulders.
TAIL
White, with black stripes in the pattern of a clearfin lionfish.
FINS/SPINES
In addition to the arm and ear fins, she gets paired fins at her hips and a small dorsal fin on her lower back, with poison spines lining her spine from the shoulders down. Hug with extreme caution.

APPEARANCE (FOG FORM)
During the fog, Red takes on an eerie, partially-inorganic appearance:
* HAIR: Still the same shade of red as ever, but with a drifting, insubstantial appearance like living flame.
FACE: About two-thirds of her face is covered in a "mask" of white carapace, featureless as a mannequin (don't ask how she manages to breathe with her mouth covered and no visible nostrils, it's a mystery,) leaving her right eye and cheek uncovered. Her visible eye is bright red, with no white and a large, fishlike pupil. Her horn-tentacle-things disappear entirely.
SKIN/SCALES: Her scales turn jet black and spread to cover most of her body from the jawline down, with scattered patches of bare skin. (inspo: pre-boss-fight Sybil)
FINS: Made of separate, overlapping, feather-shaped carapace plates, black on her head and and stark white everywhere else. The tips are sharp, and still venomous. There's a little spacing between the segments when fully spread out.
WATER FORM: Her dorsal fin is made of black plates like the ones on her ears. Her tail is stark, glossy white (including the fins,) with no stripes.
Basically, I'm drawing a lot on the look of Processed Sybil, except she doesn't have extra arms or misplaced eyes and also she's a mermaid.

MONSTER ABILITIES
SENSES
Enhanced sight, hearing, and especially smell, more so when underwater.
SIREN SONG
Singing or humming can entrance listeners, inducing calm and/or luring them closer.
VENOM
Lionfish venom causes severe pain and occasionally temporary paralysis. Some monsters may be resistant or immune.
